Hello everyone and welcome to another informative blog!! In today's blog, I will be discussing the anatomy of page design. The best page designs are those that bring about an audience. I will inform you as to how to create the perfect page design.
To start off, one needs to decide on what images and articles are to be included in the issue. You must take in consideration the following elements; as those are the ones that readers will first notice. Cover: this page catches the eye of potential readers. Masthead: contains essential information about the magazine and the branding. Table of contents: this tells readers where to find everything. Headlines: this is the first thing people will notice about an article. For a proper magazine page, one must choose the appropriate font style and color palette. Images and backgrounds should be utilized to enrich the tone of the magazine.
Critical elements within a magazine page include headlines, preliminary paragraph, body text, bylines, sub-headings, pull quotes, image captions, running headings, folio, and panel. Headings include a large font with an impactful message that motivates readers to continue reading the issue. The preliminary paragraph introduces the readers to the actual content, it will determine the tone of the article and may also serve as a summary to the article. The body text is the main part of the article, discussing its topic occupying the majority of the space. Bylines carry the author's name. The sub-headings are valued as they are expected to guide the reader through the feature. Pull quotes allow for the better expressions of stories, especially to understand images. Image captions should be placed below the image to describe it properly. Running headings allow for readers to smoothly go through a magazine, usually visibly appealing. Folio is arranging sheets of paper by folding them in particular ways. Finally panel is known as "box copies", containing the facts of the articles. These facts keep the readers engaged. I hope you enjoyed reading today's blog as this is one of many more to follow up! Many thanks, see you soon!
