    Welcome back to all. In today’s continuation, were going to be going over even more elements that are used for magazine house styles. So without further ado, let’s get right into it. 

    One of the main elements that is definitely underrated is the background. Using Entertainment magazine, for example, the publishers use pop culture icons as the cover of their magazine. However, what most people probably wouldn’t pay attention to is the background. Along with the cover photo of Chris Hemsworth new Thor movie, there’s a baby blue gradient background that is used for a cover. The color and texture used for a background can be very important as it can set up the tone of the narratives.

    Some other smaller elements that are important to the cover can be the font. It has been mentioned briefly, but the font of the background, the masthead, the lettering, can all be used to shift the tone and mood of the magazine presented. 

Another important element is the coloring used. When using color, it is important to know what colors are good for what stories. For example, National Geographic publish a new magazine talking all about the new species of fish discovered in the arctic circle. The magazine might definitely be juxtapositional if it were to use hues of purple and bright orange.
